Team 3062's history touched on the basics of Autodesk Fusion 360, developing specific parts that would suit special conditions on the robot. In the 2017 - 2018 season however, the team revamped their previous design phases. The full utilization of Fusion 360 was used to machine, assemble, and stress-test the 2018 robot, Atlas.
Pictured to the left, is the first iteration of the base frame for the team's "claw" feature of their robot. The claw was the informal term used to describe the subsystem that would hold the "boulder" during the FIRST Stronghold competition. Autodesk was utilized to optimize the size and weight of the claw, allowing for a maximum velocity to be reached.
In order to train upcoming members of the team, 3062 is developing it's own gearboxes as a method of understand the design process of Autodesk Fusion and Path Pilot. The exterior of a gearbox is pictured on the right in the CAM subsection of Fusion 360.
